You've never had homemade almond milk like this before! Rose and honey make a luscious drink you won't want to put down. Delicious on its own, in smoothies or in tea.
Blend: Add almonds, water, honey, rose water, and rose petals (if using) to a blender. Blend until the almonds are completely pulverized.
Strain: Pour the mixture into a nutmilk bag (or cheese cloth) positioned over a large bowl. Squeeze thoroughly to extract as much milk as possible. Pour the milk into a bottle or jar and refrigerate. Shake well before using.
Notes
How to soak almonds: Soak the almonds in a large bowl of room temperature water for 8 to 12 hours.
Rose water: Look for a high-quality rose water without added flavors.
Rose petals: Dried, food grade rose petals can be found at specialty baking stores or online. In this recipe, they're used for color (to give a slightly rosy hue), so are completely optional.
