Everything bagel spice might be one of the greatest popcorn seasonings yet. Learn the clever trick to the perfect seasoning - we promise it makes the world of difference! Use extra seasoning on eggs, avocado toast, croutons, and more.
Toast seeds: Add sesame seeds and caraway seeds to a dry skillet over medium heat. Cook, stirring frequently, until the sesame seeds are golden, about 3 to 4 minutes.
Blend: Transfer sesame and caraway seeds to a blender. Add granulated garlic, granulated onion, poppy seeds, and salt. Blend until some of the mixture turns into powder, but seeds are still visible, about 15 to 30 seconds.
Assembly
Season: Add freshly popped popcorn to a large bowl. Drizzle with melted butter, while stirring to coat evenly. Sprinkle 3 tablespoons of the Everything Bagel Seasoning, and stir to coat. Season with more salt, if needed.
Notes
Granulated garlic and granulated onion: You can substitute with garlic powder and onion powder instead, but cut the amount in half because powder is more potent than granulated. If substituting: for one batch (1x)of Everything Bagel Popcorn Seasoning, use 1½ teaspoon of garlic powder and 1½ teaspoon onion powder (instead of granulated).
Popcorn: It takes about 3 tablespoons of kernels to make 6 cups of popcorn. Use your favorite method for popping (e.g. stovetop, air popper, etc.).
Everything Bagel Seasoning: This recipe makes extra seasoning. Store it in a sealed jar or resealable bag at room temperature. You can use extra seasoning avocado toast, eggs, fries, croutons, and so much more.
