Delicious Frozen Mango Margaritas made without Triple Sec or Cointreau. These easy, refreshing and silky Mangoritas are perfect for sipping all summer! (Vegan, Gluten Free)
Blend: Add fresh mango, orange juice, tequila, lime juice, agave, and ice to a blender (see note 1). Blend until smooth.
Serve: If rimming the glasses, run a lime wedge around the rim and dip the glasses in salt. Pour the blended drink into glasses and serve (see note 4).
Notes
Frozen mango substitute: You can substitute frozen mango, instead of fresh. If using frozen mango, your drink will be slightly less creamy and slightly more frosty. If the mixture is too thick, simply let it sit in the blender container on the counter for a few minutes to soften—then re-blend.
Tequila: Use Blanco tequila if you can. It's not aged, so it has a lighter flavor that works well in mixed cocktails.
Garnish ideas: Garnishes aren't required, but if you want to jazz up the presentation, here are some garnish ideas: edible flowers, lime wedge or wheel, fresh mango or other fresh fruit (e.g. raspberries, strawberries, blueberries).
