This tropical Mango Kiwi Smoothie tastes like sunshine in a glass! Can be made with or without banana. Only 3 or 4 ingredients! It's refreshing, perfectly sweet, and packed with vitamin C. No yogurt, so it's dairy-free. (Vegan, Gluten Free).
Blend: To a blender, add 2 peeled kiwis, 1½ cups frozen mango chunks, 1 cup orange juice, and 1 banana. Blend until smooth. (If needed, you can thin with more juice). Pour into glasses and enjoy.
Notes
Kiwi: We tested this recipe with green kiwi, but yellow kiwi should work too. To peel kiwi, you can either: a) Cut kiwi in half crosswise and use the spoon to scoop out the flesh, or b) Keep kiwi whole and use a vegetable peeler to remove the skin.
Orange Juice: Freshly squeezed juice tastes best. But, you can definitely use store-bought juice instead—try to use a high-quality fresh juice, not from concentrate. Depending on your blender and desired consistency, you may wish to add an extra splash of orange juice to thin.
Banana: Banana makes this smoothie a bit sweeter and creamier. But, we tested the smoothie with and without banana...and both were great! If you skip the banana, then it'll make a smaller serving (e.g. 1 large smoothie or 2 slightly smaller). Nutritional estimates include banana.
Optional Garnish Ideas: A slice of fresh kiwi on the rim of the glass, chopped kiwi or mango on top of the smoothie.
