- Just 3 ingredients: You only need frozen berries, frozen mango, and milk for this recipe. This smoothie is made without yogurt.

- Kid friendly: This naturally sweetened fruit smoothie is a hit with adults and kids alike!
Ingredients (and substitutes)
You only need 3 ingredients to make this delicious mango berry smoothie:
- Frozen Mango: Frozen chunks of mango make this smoothie naturally sweet and creamy. It also eliminates the need for ice, which waters down the flavor. But, if you need to, you can use fresh mango and ice instead (see Recipe Card for details).
- Frozen Mixed Berries: A frozen mixed berry blend makes it easy to enjoy different berries altogether. We usually buy a bag that has strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and sometimes...blackberries. You could swap frozen mixed berries for just one type of berry. If going this route, use strawberries or blueberries so the smoothie isn't too tart.
- Milk: You can use cow's milk or dairy-free milk for this (such as almond milk, soy milk, cashew milk, or oat milk). If you like things on the sweeter side, you could use a vanilla-flavored plant milk that's slightly sweetened.

Tips
- Blending thick smoothies: This recipe makes for a thick and creamy smoothie. Depending on the type of blender you have, you may need to add a bit more liquid to thin. Always add in small increments, pausing the stir as needed, to avoid thinning the smoothie too much.
- Mixed berries save freezer space: Rather than buying different bags of frozen berries, you can buy a berry blend instead. This way you can enjoy different berries altogether, without filling your entire freezer with frozen fruit!
- Save money with frozen berries: Frozen berries are usually less expensive than fresh berries. Especially if you buy the frozen berries in bulk from Costco or other wholesale stores.
- Skip ice for the best flavor: Ice dilutes drinks. For thick, flavorful smoothies we prefer to skip the ice and use frozen fruit instead.
- Optional garnish ideas: You could add a sliced fresh strawberry to the side of the glass. Or simply sprinkle chopped berries on top of the smoothie.

📖 Recipe
Mango Berry Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1½ cups frozen mango chunks
- 1 cup frozen mixed berries (see note 1)
- 1½ cup milk (more as needed, see note 2)
Instructions
- Blend: To a blender, add 1½ cups frozen mango chunks, 1 cup frozen mixed berries, and 1½ cup milk. Blend until smooth. (If needed, you can thin with more milk). Pour into glasses and enjoy.
Notes
- Mixed Berries: We used a frozen 4-berry blend for testing (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries), but any similar variation would work. You can substitute mixed berries for one type of berries if needed—we'd recommend strawberries or blueberries (so the smoothie isn't too tart).
- Milk: You can use cow's milk or a plant-based milk (such as almond, soy, cashew, or oat milk). If you want a sweeter smoothie, you can use a vanilla-flavored plant-based milk that's slightly sweetened.
- Garnish ideas (optional): Chopped mango or berries on top of the smoothie.
- Yield: 1¾ to 2 cups of smoothie per serving.
